About Me

Technique can be shown. The feeling of a state can only be felt

Four Seasons Qi isn’t something I invented. It is built on a framework drawn by Vasily Lensky, founder of System Talgar, and it serves as a bridge into the potential of the human organism and the reserve capacity most of us rarely touch.

My Path

In my early twenties I began my journey of self-development with meditation and the basics of traditional qigong. That opened into two years of Daoist internal methods: the foundations of Chi Nei Tsang, and the work and philosophy of Mantak Chia. It was a serious first education in an integrated approach, one that treats the body as having layers, subtleties and deep interconnections, not just muscles and joints.

In 2007 I attended my first week-long Talgar seminar, and it changed the direction of everything that followed. Once this lens opened up and I felt the potential behind the work, it never left. Talgar looks at the bio-energetic layer underneath what we usually take to be our character. The system is so comprehensive, with applications still waiting to be discovered, that I expect to be studying it for the rest of my life. In my early years I didn’t realise it would be a marathon rather than a sprint.

Alongside this I trained in bodywork: first Thai massage, then Meridian Pressure Massage, also known as “White Bear,” a Slavic traditional style with elements of Thai massage and Shiatsu, working with the same meridian logic, pressure and structure.

My favourite expression of this work is the dynamic side of Chi Kung, known as Style Dana. The variety and freedom of expression it opens up is invaluable at a time when many revert to mechanical practices and rigid routines.

In 2023, Pravilo teacher training expanded my range considerably. Since then I’ve been working with it directly, offering specialised, custom therapy work built around what an individual body actually needs. In 2024 I began studying visceral massage and quickly became enthusiastic about it. Practice has shown me just how effective and how deep this work can go, and it’s now very much part of how I work with people.

Four Seasons Qi is where all of this comes together: the result of a long process of simplifying and adapting, so that the depth of Talgar has a usable entry point for people who want to reach it.

My Approach & Values

Every person carries a different rhythm, a different story held in the body. A practice that ignores this asks someone to perform  rather than meet themselves. I don’t really consider myself a teacher of methods. Technique can be shown, but the internal character of a state, how it actually feels and the transitions between one phase and another, can’t be taught.

What I share are principles: phases, tonus, breath, active and passive states, the essential qualities underneath any technique. A map is not the territory. Ideas only become tangible when they’re tested in practice, and how you explore, analyse and integrate them is your own work. That’s also why development takes time: you’re pioneering your own unique system.

Who This Is For

It isn’t a path for everybody, and that’s fine. It’s for people who sense there is more spontaneity, freedom and possibilities available to us. This includes Qigong and Tai chi practitioners, martial artists or free movers and dancers who may find this map useful for what they already do.

Why Now

As the pressures of modern life grow, I believe the need for deeper, more integrated practice will grow with them. My aim is to share this map clearly enough that more people can start experimenting with it in their own unique ways.

I Work With Individuals & Groups

Somatic Qigong

Discover greater freedom, adaptability and expression through movement, breath and internal awareness.

Visceral Massage

Restore internal balance through therapeutic self-care and gentle visceral techniques.

Workshops

Experiential workshops exploring movement, health and the living intelligence of the body.

“I was introduced to visceral massage through a self massage workshop that Jan had offered. It’s a powerful tool to check your physical and mental health , once the organs are also related to your emotions. I really start to see results when I combine the self massage and the sessions with Jan. The results were quick, I felt with more energy, less bloated, my menstrual cramps were gone and the cravings reduced, which makes me believe it’s helping to regulate and balance my hormones. I highly recommend Jan as a teacher and massage therapist. He’s gentle and kind.”

Tania Age 45

"After struggling for five months with weight gain and perimenopause symptoms despite trying diet, exercise, yoga, meditation, and acupuncture, visceral massage made a remarkable difference. After four treatments, my digestion improved, bloating disappeared, my period returned, and I finally felt like my body had been reset. I’m deeply grateful."
