About Me

Technique can be shown. The feeling of a state can only be felt

In my early twenties I started my journey of self-development with meditation and picked up the basics of traditional qigong. That opened into two years studying Taoist internal methods – the foundations of Chi Nei Tsang, and the work and philosophy of Mantak Chia. It was a serious first education in the body as something with layers, not just muscles and joints.

Then, nearly twenty years ago, I attended my first Talgar seminar. It changed the direction of everything that followed, and it has remained my main source of inspiration since: the study of the human organism’s reserve capacities — what’s actually possible in a body and nervous system once you know how to access it, rather than what we settle for by default.

That study led me into bodywork. First Thai massage, then Meridian Pressure Massage — sometimes called “White Bear,” a Slavic traditional style with real kinship to Thai massage and Shiatsu, working the same meridian logic through pressure and structure rather than movement.

But the center of gravity for me has always been the dynamic side of Chi Kung — with Talgar, and its principle of Multipolarity, as the underlying framework. That’s a study I expect to be doing for the rest of my life. It has that many layers, and every few years it opens again.

Four Seasons Qi came out of a long process of simplifying — not diluting, simplifying. AOUM emerged as the framework I kept coming back to: the clearest, most usable entry point into everything the deeper Talgar material holds, for someone who doesn’t yet have twenty years to spend with it.

In 2023, Pravilo teacher training expanded my range considerably. Since then I’ve been working with it directly, offering specialised, custom therapy work built around what an individual body actually needs.

In 2024 I began studying visceral massage, and it didn’t take long to become genuinely enthusiastic about it — practice has shown me just how effective and how deep this work can go, and it’s now very much part of how I work with people.

This is where Four Seasons Qi comes from: not a weekend certification, but a continuous line of study — meditation, Taoist internal arts, Talgar, meridian bodywork, teacher training, visceral therapy — all still in motion, all still teaching me something.

My Approach & Values

Every person carries a different rhythm, a different history held in the body – a practice that ignores this asks someone to perform wellness rather than meet themselves. I don’t really consider myself a teacher of methods. Technique can be shown, but the internal character of a state – how it actually feels, the transitions between one phase and another, can’t be taught. That part has to be felt, experienced, discovered inside.

What I share are principles: basic structure, phases, tonus, breath, active and passive states – the essential qualities underneath any technique. From there, it’s up to each practitioner to feel their way in and make the connection their own. In my experience, that’s what brings people closer to their authentic expression – not more instruction, but the space to actually listen inward.

Workshops

Experiential workshops exploring movement, health and the living intelligence of the body.

“I was introduced to visceral massage through a self massage workshop that Jan had offered. It’s a powerful tool to check your physical and mental health , once the organs are also related to your emotions. I really start to see results when I combine the self massage and the sessions with Jan. The results were quick, I felt with more energy, less bloated, my menstrual cramps were gone and the cravings reduced, which makes me believe it’s helping to regulate and balance my hormones. I highly recommend Jan as a teacher and massage therapist. He’s gentle and kind.”

Tania Age 45

"After struggling for five months with weight gain and perimenopause symptoms despite trying diet, exercise, yoga, meditation, and acupuncture, visceral massage made a remarkable difference. After four treatments, my digestion improved, bloating disappeared, my period returned, and I finally felt like my body had been reset. I’m deeply grateful."
